OSHA and Safety Harnesses
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires that employers provide fall arrest systems for workers who may be in danger of falling, including those who use powered platforms.
OSHA pays attention to quality of the various components and what the harness is made of. According to standards, the connectors on all safety harnesses must be drop-forged or made of pressed or formed steel (or its equivalent). They should resist corrosion, and each surface and edge should be smooth to prevent damage to other parts of the safety harness. All OSHA’s personal fall arrest standards are outlined in 29 CFR 1910.66.
The safety harnesses in EnviroSafetyProducts’ catalog are used by law enforcement personnel, emergency responders, construction workers, carpenters and in many more applications. Though no two safety harnesses are equal, each has benefits. Before purchasing fall protection for your workplace, be sure to weigh the benefits against the cost and your workplace’s unique needs. For example, a lineman’s needs are different from a construction worker’s, and there is a special belt by 3M designed for electrical line work.
What to Look for in a Safety Harness
Naturally, you’ll want to find a safety harness that can hold your employees’ body weight even after a significant fall. You’ll also want to order safety harnesses that don’t interfere with other personal protective equipment, like reflective vests, fire resistant coveralls or other fire resistant clothing, and respirator masks. The durability of each safety harness is guaranteed across all of our products, which represent the results of years of testing and refinement. They can be attached with a self-retracting lifeline (SRL) or shock-absorbing safety lanyard, and tool belts are also available to secure everything you need to get the job done.

Titan Safety Harnesses
Titan safety harnesses are reliable, durable and versatile. They’re generally cost-effective , too, so you can get the protection your employees need without going over budget. Titan safety harnesses make good use of convenient features like sliding D-rings and flexible D-ring pads, easy-to-fasten leg and chest straps, and more.
