OSHA Alliance Program Renewed
The Alliance Program was recently renewed between OSHA and the Society for Chemical Hazard Communication (SCHC). Their continued goal is to ensure workers are aware of the chemical hazards they may be exposed to at the workplace, while also reducing the number of chemical-related injuries and illnesses and to increase awareness of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). According to OSHA's website, "More than 32 million workers are exposed to 650,000 hazardous chemical products in American workplaces." Through the Alliance program, OSHA works with groups and employers in the following areas:
